Pratt's industry-centered program inspires creative expression while providing students with solid technical skills in areas such as patternmaking, draping, construction and sketching as well as CAD. Interdisciplinary and collaborative opportunities are available to fashion design students through other departments in the School of Art and Design. In addition to the core classes, the Fashion Design Department offers a wide variety of elective courses in menswear, millinery, leather, jewelry design, shoe design and handbag design and construction.
