BiographyAnna Katz is a specialist in modern and contemporary European and American art history. Her research interests include postwar sculpture and the viability of the medium in the age of the so-called post-medium condition; art and ecology; and the art/craft hierarchy. Her current project is the first book-length study of Lee Bontecou's sculpture and drawing from 1958 to 1971, the period of her most active public production. She has been a Joan Tisch Teaching Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art since 2008. |
