Drew is also the co-editor of Design Education in Progress: Process and Methodology, Volumes 1, 2 and 3, an academic book series dedicated to the study of design pedagogy. In 2005, Drew co-authored BY ITS COVER: Modern American Book Cover Design (Princeton Architectural Press). His work has appeared in Graphic Design Referenced, Typographic Design: Form and Communication, Graphic Design Solutions and USDesign 1975-2000 among others. His work has been recognized by the AIGA, the Type Directors Club, The Art Directors Club and the American Association of Museums and his work has appeared in Graphis, Print, How and Creativity magazines. A professor at Rutgers University-Newark, Drew heads the graphic design program and teaches design and the history of design. Drew is the director of The Design Consortium, a student/teacher run design studio that focuses on non-profit, community-based projects. |
