Personal URL http://www.bobgilletc.com Biography Started Fletcher/Forbes/Gill, a design office in 1962 (now known as Pentagram); in 1967 designed the cover of Wonderwall, the Beatles' first record on their label, Apple. In 1968 the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam gave him a one-man show and Lund Humphries published his portfolio. Wrote and designed, with Robert Rabinowitz, a multimedia history of the 60's called Beatlemania, that ran for three years on Broadway and spawned several companies that toured for another three years. Selected to the New York Art Directors Hall of Fame in 1991; has authored a number of books, including: What Colour is your World?, A Balloon for Blunderbuss, Forget All the Rules You Ever Learned About Graphic Design: Including the Ones in this Book, Unspecial Effects for Graphic Designers, and Graphic Design as a Second Language. Has taught at SVA and Royal College of Art.
