Magdelana Sztompka, MFA Thesis Candidate, has been awarded the use of a Panavision 35mm camera package from the Panavision Student/New Filmmaker Program. She will be shooting her thesis, Two Feet from Painting, with the assistance of this grant.

Digital Arts Chair Peter Patchen will present the talk "Dimensional Printing for Artists" at the Adobe Max Education Summit in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 24th at the Wilshire Grand Hotel. The talk will cover Patchen's work and address a variety of 3D printing, casting and finishing methods.

Prof. Svjetlana Bukvich-Nichols wrote the soundtrack for the short film Fruits of Eden, directed by Sasha Savic. In July 2010, the film was screened at the Sarajevo Film Festival http://www.sff.ba/content.php/en/main?site=sff and will be screened at the Woodstock Film Festival and the Osaka Film Festival.

Sophie Kahn, Visiting Instructor in Digital Arts at Pratt, recently showed a laser-sintered nylon sculpture in the Last Supper Festival’s New Media exhibition at 3rd Ward in Brooklyn. Digital Arts Professor Liubo Borrisov's work was also included in this exhibition.
