Biography

Lisa Capone is a Pratt MFA / Art Education graduate and artist who works primarily in the 3D realm using a variety of materials and processes and incorporating drawing as a key component.  Her pieces have been featured in Art In America, Interior Design and House + Garden among other publications. Upcoming exhibitions include Fusion (A New Century of Glass) at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art in the summer of 2012.  Representation for her commercial designs include Barneys and Museum of Arts + Design in NYC.

Lisa’s work as an educator combines a passion for art + design with a particular focus on the use of off site venues to learn and teach about both. Along with recent classes taught such as Teaching In The Galleries she was an instructor in the Art Education Abroad Program in Lucca, Italy for three summers.  She currently runs 'Chess Knights' an after school chess based program she started in 2011 for children living in shelters.
