Biography

Mr. Mangold has taught at Pratt since 2007, and is also an adjunct at Hunter College and Moore College of Art.  He is a Ph.D. candidate in the Environmental Psychology program at CUNY Graduate Center where his research looks at the role institutions play in architectural production and utopian visions for transforming the social and spatial environment.  He has had various papers accepted for publication and is currently preparing an edited volume bringing together key readings related to space and place.  As a designer, he has worked on a number of renovation and adaptive reuse projects, including the ongoing renovation of an 1872 rowhouse where he lives with his family.
