Biography

Michele LiCalsi studied art at the New York Academy of Art, the Art Students' League, and the National Academy of Design. She has been teaching drawing, color and composition at the National Academy of Design from 1994 to the present. She taught fresco painting at the Conservation Center, Institute of Fine Arts, New York University from 1993 to 2005. She has also worked in art conservation at the Brooklyn Museum and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She has worked as a conservator on sites in Florence, Rome, Parma, and Sardis.
