Biography

Michael Kirk is an artist and master printmaker. His works have been exhibited at Gimpel and Weitzenhoffer Gallery in NYC; Cork Gallery in Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center; The Print Club, Philadelphia, PA; Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano, Lima, Peru; Norske Grafikere, Oslo, Norway and many other national and international venues. He is in the collections of The Brooklyn Museum; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institute; National Museum of Art; Colgate University; University of Minnesota; Penn State University; University of Wyoming; Municipal Council, Moracado, Venezuela. Kirk has received fellowships from New York Foundation for the Arts and the ED Foundation and residencies at Au Fort, Cameret Sur Mer, France and Kunstnerhuset, Lofoton, Norway. He also teaches printmaking for Parsons The New School for Design within the school of Art Media and Technology.
