Biography

Jeanne Wilkinson is an artist, curator and writer working in Brooklyn, NY.  Formerly an abstract painter, her artwork now involves digital collages and animations that merge fantasy and reality.  Some of her imagery revolves around the vision quests and adventures of the clan of the Painted People former Barbies and Kens, who go on vision quests and adventures both real and virutal.  Her work has been shown at BAM and in numerous venues in NYC and internationally, including a recent screening at CREON Gallery.  She has written art criticism for numerous publications and her essays have been featured on NPR broadcasts such as Living on Earth and The Leonard Lopate Show.   She writes a blog about art, travel, politics, and whatever else comes up, and teaches at Pratt Institute and Kingsborough Community College.
