Biography

For as long as she can recall, Erica Simon has always had her fingers dipped into creative expression. She majored in art at Reed College, had several stints as a seamstress, a long-term job as a woodworker and a full-fledged career in graphic design. But one Saturday night, standing in front of her mirror, finding it impossible to properly accessorize her outfit, she resigned herself to the thought that the foxy goods she needed simply were not out there. It seemed, to get the job done, she would have to do it herself. And so started her passion turned career in jewelry design, the creative endeavor that stuck.

Erica infused into her line her theory for fashion: to be focused and deliberate from start to finish. Her designs are detail-oriented and challenge common combinations of medium and form.

Today as she launches her young company, she works as designer in New York City for two accomplished jewelry companies. Simultaneously, she is happily growing her company to get her jewelry out to the fabulous women of the world who are missing that one commanding item from their wardrobe. Erica is currently teaching Fashion Jewelry: How to Build a Collection in the Fashion Design Department.
