Biography

Commissioner, New York City Department of Design and Construction -Director of Mayoral agency with staff of approximately 1200 design and construction professionals and support staff, with annual capital budget of $1bn.  The NYC Department of Design and construction (“DDC”) is responsible for project delivery of a variety of capital projects including infrastructure and roadwork; libraries; police and fire houses; and a variety of cultural institutions. Director of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s Design and Construction Excellence Initiative to improve the design and construction quality of public works in New York City.
