BiographyMichael is Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, where he is Coordinator and Instructor of Undergraduate Thesis. His research and design interest is “Machinic Architecture”, i.e. – architectural theories and practices explicitly processing information, in the broadest sense of the word. Left brain-wise, he is a graduate of the California Institute of Technology (B.S.) and Columbia University (M.S.), where he conducted research on magnetic confinement fusion on the HBT-EP tokamak; right brain-wise, he is a graduate of The Cooper Union (B.Arch.) and Princeton University (M.A.), where he is completing a dissertation on the interchange between science and architecture in the early works of R. Buckminster Fuller. Michael founded the collaborative practice and space 1/N in 2012. |
