In this role he guides the planning of NYCDOT’s street reconstruction program, ensuring that designs meet the goals of the City and the agency for safer, greener, more efficient and livable streets. Previous work at DOT has included managing the development of, and co-authoring, the New York City Street Design Manual; researching and facilitating the integration of emerging design and environmental best practices into the agency’s work; and planning, designing and implementing a range of street design projects such as pedestrian plazas, bicycle facilities, and safety improvements.
