Pratt Institute

Writing and Tutorial Center (WTC)

Welcome to the Writing and Tutorial Center (WTC). As the Director, I'd like to briefly introduce you the services and procedures of our lab.

What are we?

The WTC is a multi-faceted writing lab that is available to all Pratt students on both a walk-in and scheduled basis. Our aim is to provide academic support for all Pratt students. We cater to all academic levels from Intensive English, through all undergraduates courses, to Master's Thesis preparation.

What do we offer?

We have individual and small group tutorials to improve writing skills. We also offer tutoring in Art History, Math, Physics, Statics, and Steel, and we run conversation groups for International students.  Tutoring is available as a weekly appointment or on a walk in basis if staff are available.  Our newest offering is the WTC Writing Lab.

The WTC Writing Lab

The lab offers 7 macs, 6 pcs, scanning, and printing using your Pratt i.d.  There is a lab monitor to help you if needed. Programs available are: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.  Quicktime Player, Real Player, Windows Media Player, and Flash Player.  Bring your Pratt i.d. for entry.

When Are We Open?

Monday to Thursday, 10:00am-8:00pm
Friday, 10:00am-5:00pm
