SideLights Video Project

SideLights Video Project

SideLights is a collaborative project between the Division of Information Technology and selected faculty and students in the Film/Video Department. Our mission is to document people and events at Pratt with video vignettes. Like their namesake in cinema, SideLights illuminate interesting, important and otherwise hidden aspects of their subject. Pratt Film/Video majors direct the videos, and the students are mentored by members of the Film/Video Faculty.

Academic Content Sharing

SideLights is also a venue for faculty to post academic course content to their students through a restricted portal called iTunes U. This portal is a section of the iTunes Store where users can download educational content from many universities. Using this service, faculty members record podcasts, which are then published to RSS feeds. Students then have the opportunity to subscribe to these feeds and review updated lecture material either on a computer or on an iPod. For more information, contact sidelights@pratt.edu.
